Garden of Dreams
One summer evening, in the garden, I accidentally stepped on a snail. I couldn’t undo what had happened. The only thing I could do was imagine another ending. So I painted a place where nothing is lost.
A quiet garden where every fragile life continues in another form. Where movement becomes light, flowers open without fear, and even the smallest creature belongs.
I don’t think this painting is about sadness. For me, it is about tenderness. About the strange human wish to repair what cannot be repaired, if only through imagination.
I work intuitively, allowing forms to emerge rather than planning them in advance. The translucent layers of gouache let the image appear slowly, somewhere between the visible and the imagined. Perhaps every creature deserves its own Garden of Dreams.
